It was a full night of volleyball. The junior high opened their season at home against the Mountain Grove lady panthers and the high school teams traveled to Summersville the varsity squad trying to get the first win of the season. The junior varsity 2-1 on the season.

The 7th and 8th grade teams took Mountain Grove to 3 games before losing the match. Both teams won the first game of the match and lost the final two games. Both lady bear volleyball teams battled hard, but came up short. For the 7th grade, Krista Rader served 8 straight service points and Kylie Ennis added two aces. The final score for the 7th grade match was Willow Springs 25, 23, 20: Mountain Grove 20, 25, 25.

In the 8th grade match, Kaitlyn Perkins led the lady bears with 13 service points. She served 13 straight points and had 9 aces. Grace Burnett added 5 service points and had 2 aces. The 8th grade lady bears had a hard fought loss after dominating in the first game of the match. The final  score for the 8th grade, Willow Springs 25, 21, 25; Mountain Grove 9, 25, 27.

The Willow Springs varsity team still searching for their first win of the season. The lady bears lost in straight sets to Summersville. The final score of 15, 15 and 25, 25.Shilo Letterman & Kelsey Stolba each had 4 kills; Kyla Hutsell 9 assist and 2 kills; Nichole McGrath led the lady bears in digs with 6. Alexis Brooks added 3 assist and 3 digs.

The junior varsity team won in straight sets in an abbreviated match 15,15 and 10, 7. Shilo Letterman and Grace Bailey each had 3 kills. Cassidy Crewse led the team with 6 digs and had 2 kills and 9 service points. Kendra Aldridge led the team in assist with 11.

The Varsity lady bears will travel to Forsyth this weekend to play in the Forsyth Invitational. The lady bears will play pool play at 9:45, 12:15 and 1:00 pm. Semifinals with start at 2:30 and Championship and 3rd Place Matches will start at 3:15 pm. The junior varsity will be back in action next

Thursday at Thayer.

The junior high will play host to Ava on Monday and Houston on Tuesday.
