Devaugntah Williams and Malcolm Henderson 2GRIZZLY BASKETBALL PLAYERS Devaugntah Williams, seated center, and Malcolm Henderson, seated right, read the book “Ocean Monsters” Tuesday, June 25, to 27 area children participating in the West Plains Public Library’s summer reading program.  The day’s topic was “Sea Creatures,” and the players helped the children create their own sea creature drawings after the reading.  They are among several members of the Grizzly Basketball Program at Missouri State University-West Plains who have been busy with community service projects this summer.  Head Coach Yancey Walker stepped in as Smokey the Bear Tuesday, June 18, as the library focused on the National Parks Service’s Fire Prevention Safety program, which was attended by 37 children, and team members helped set up and tear down the Old-Time Music, Ozark Heritage Festival grounds for that two-day event June 14 and 15.
