John Roy Petrush, 73, died on Friday, June 13, 2014 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. John was born in Johnson City, New York on December 26, 1940 to John J. Petrush and Betty J. (Cutshall) Petrush. He was one of eight siblings.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 13 years, Marilyn Petrush. John is survived by his former wife of 16 years, Annie Heart of Tigard, Oregon; four daughters, Rhonda Henry of Portland, Oregon, Susan Bigler of Portland, Oregon, Janet Gardner of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Jodi Rennie of Tucson, Arizona and many grandchildren.
John graduated from Vestal Central High School in 1959 where he was voted best looking by his classmates. John received an Associate’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 1961 from State University of New York at Canton. John graduated from the University of Arizona in 1963 and 1968 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He then began his professional career with Arthur Anderson & Company, where he became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Later, John began his own small business accounting firm. John was certified in California, Colorado and Arizona.
Energetic and fun, John enjoyed restoring classic Fords, building and flying RC airplanes, stamp collecting and RV’ing. He loved the desert in Arizona and was always planning a trip back home to Tucson. John was an amazing father with an abundance of unconditional love, who will be greatly missed.

A memorial service is scheduled to be held at a later date.
