Donald Rodger Wantland, age 83, of Raymondville, MO passed away on March 18, 2012. Roger was born September 5, 1928 in Raymondville, MO. He attended school at Raymondville and Licking.

Roger joined the Army in 1952 and was later stationed in Germany during the Korean War to await orders. He was a big engine mechanic of the ‘A’ Battery 330th Field Artillery Battalion in Germany.

Roger married the love of his live, Carol (Hood) Wantland, in Mississippi on June 26, 1954. He worked as a barber for 54 years in St. Louis, Fort Leonard Wood and the Houston area; and he always enjoyed his work. He loved gardening, going to the Raymondville picnic, and being with his family.

Roger is survived by his four children Donnie, Sherry, Debbie, and Shannon; nine grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Bobby, Denise, Ann, Brooke, Jacob, Joey, and Catherine; and 6 great-great grandchildren, Ty, Kaiden, Cael, Victoria, Jadyn, and River.

He is preceded in death by his wife Carol, parents Mosey Petty Wantland and Neva (Kell) Wantland McColgin, and three brothers, Dean, Jimmy, and Billy.

Although Roger will be sadly missed, he has left many wonderful memories to be carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:30AM at Vollmar Cemetery in Raymondville, Missouri. To send online condolences visit www.evansfh.com.
