Ruby Murray, age 91, daughter of W. R. (Turkey Bill) Hutsell and Alice Mae Scott Hutsell was born November 10, 1920 at Plato, MO and died December 28, 2011 in Carthage, MO.

She married Edward Douglas and four children were born to this union. She later married Stanley Murray.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her only sister Ruth, two daughters Kaye Douglas and Sue Bequette and a step great grandson, Garret Campbell.

She is survived by a son, Eugene Douglas and a daughter Cathy McKinney both of Carthage, MO, by two granddaughters, three great granddaughters and one great grandson; by two step-sons of the state of Florida, by twelve step-grandchildren, fifteen step-great grandchildren and eight step-great great grandchildren.

She graduated from Houston High School in 1939 and always enjoyed helping plan their class reunions and attending them.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Houston, MO over 53 years before placing her membership with the Alba Christian Church, Alba, MO on December 30, 2001.

She made quilts for herself and family members and loved quilting them.

She loved baking dinner rolls, loaves of bread and cookies, always sharing them with others.

She lived on the same farm 56 years before moving to Carthage, MO.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday January 2, 2012 at Evans Funeral Home with Paul Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
