He was born March 18, 1937, at Filer, Idaho, to George Dewey Ray and Beulah Sporich Ray. On February 1, 1955, he was married at Santa Anna, California, to Janet Lorraine Hicks, who preceded him in death on February 16, 2003. He worked as a pipe fitter with Local Union #520. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling stores and piddling in his shop.
He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Barks, husband, Ray, West Plains, Missouri and Tamara Ray and life companion, Jon Dupuy, State of Louisiana; four grandchildren, Jason Willbanks, who was also his care taker, Cody Willbanks, wife, Christy, Chance Bone and Colton Bone; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Drew and Haley Willbanks; two brothers, Richard Ray, State of Nevada and Kevin Ray, wife, Tammy, State of Nebraska; two sisters, Koneg Austin and Jo Ann Ray, both of State of California; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents and wife, precede him in death.
