Graveside services for Carl Elonzo Driscoll, 78, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Homeland Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Driscoll died at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at his home.

He was born February 9, 1935, at West Plains, Missouri, to Vernie and Helen Bales Driscoll. On May 29, 1961, he was married to Lynne May. After 20 years, he retired from Marathon Electric in 1997. To say Carl was a talented man and could do anything is an understatement. If he didn’t have a tool to fix something, he would make one that would. He was accomplished in building muzzleloader guns, wood carving, leatherwork, oil painting and drawing to name a few. He was dearly loved by his devoted wife of 52 years and he was the best Daddy, PaPa and friend of many. Carl had made peace with the Lord and now waits for us in Heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne Driscoll, of the family home; one daughter, Lori Young, husband, Mike, West Plains, Missouri; grandson, Matthew Richardson, wife, Chrystal; great-grandson, Lennon Richardson, Carl Junction, Missouri; granddaughter, Amanda Langley, husband, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Izabel and Benjamin Langley, Fort Smith, Arkansas; granddaughter, Carlea Driscoll, Fort Smith, Arkansas; son Mike Driscoll, West Plains, Missouri; grandson, Michael Driscoll, wife, Simone, Parker, Colorado; son, Douglas Driscoll, West Plains, Missouri; grandson, Daniel Driscoll; special friends, Chip Wright, Dave Baker and Kent Watkins, who he thought of as sons; sister-in-law, Joy Finch, West Plains, Missouri; brother-in-law, Robert Linville, Fox, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His son, Timothy Carl Driscoll, his parents and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eddie and Cora May, precede him in death.

Mr. Driscoll will lie in state from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Homeland Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.robertsondrago.com.
