Nancy Lee (McCann) Brewer was born March 2, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Cecil Leroy and Margurite Lucille (Stringer) McCann.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Jack Alan McCann, one sister, Helen Louise (McCann) Wilhelm, two great-grandchildren, Shayla and Conner Grim.
She is survived by one son, Timothy and Wilma Crawford of Plato, MO, two daughters, Kathy Grim of Plato, MO and Frances Truitt and husband Allen of St. Charles, MO, three grandchildren; Scott A Grim, Jr. of Plato, MO, Nancy Grim of Plato, MO and Rebecca Ortwerth of St. Charles, MO, three great-grandchildren; Lillyann Peltz of Phoenix, AZ, Joshua Moscicki and Nickolei Wilson of Plato, MO, one brother, Ernest Weaver of Plato, MO, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Nancy was an active member in the Daughters of the American Revolution Noah Coleman Chapter. She was a former member of the Eastern Star Chapter #497 of Newton, IL. Nancy was a member of the Roby Baptist Church in Roby, MO,
Nancy’s favorite things were traveling with Frank, spoiling her grandbabies, gardening and doing community projects.
Nancy also became a genealogist. Nancy and her sister, Helen, had a passion for looking and finding their ancestry. She had almost finished her book online; Kathy will continue and finish their work.
She was an outstanding Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Aunt, cousin and friend. Nancy was always looking for ways to help her family and friends and felt that God had given her each day to enjoy and live for him. She will be missed, but she is enjoying being with her heavenly family.
A memorial service was held in her honor July 2 at Roby Baptist Church.
