Donald Kingsland, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, formerly of Harvey, Illinois, son of the late June and George Kingsland, was born March 16, 1934 in Chicago. He died on May 29, 2013 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR at the age of 79 years.

He was happily united in marriage for 58 years to Joyce Gray in Harvey, IL. at the Federated Church and since then he has been an active member at the Cherokee Village Metodist Church and Kiwanis for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife Joyce; two daughters Debbie Ferguson and husband Patrick of St. John, IN. and Laurie Morgan of Rogers, AR.; five grandchildren, Anna Roberson and husband Gavin of Manchester, GA., Tracy Ferguson of Stoughton, WI., Todd Ferguson and Meagan Jackson of Valpariso, IN., Jeremy and Justin Morgan and Four Great Granddaughters Victoria, Abbie, Sadie Roberson and Audrey May Ferguson. He is also survived by his sister Mary Ann Moore of Atlanta, GA., and Niece Nancy, and cousin Lauren Paxton of Montezuma, IA.

He enlisted in the submarine service in 1952 to serve his country and was stationed in Portsmouth, NH. and Key West, FL. after that he graduted from the School of Banking in Madison, WI. and also he graduated from the School of Banking in Nanking in Colorado. He worked for 35 years at the Riverdale Bank in Riverdale, IL., after retirement ha and his wife retired to Cherokee Village, AR.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2023 at 1:00pm at Cherokee Village United Methodist Church. Memorials can be made in Don’s memory to the Cherokee Village Methodist Church Handbell Choir”.
