phillipsFuneral services for Georgia May Phillips, 91, Dora, will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Needmore Church of God under direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phillips died 7:22 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Ozarks Medical Center. She was born January 20, 1922 at Fristoe, Missouri to Archie Ray and Ollie May Austin Day. She was married April 1, 1939 at Fristoe to Curtis F. Keightley, and then on September 23, 1944, she was married at Sedalia to Marion Phillips, who preceded her in death October 14, 1987.

After earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, she taught for many years at Dora School. At the time of her retirement, she was school counselor. Mrs. Phillips enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting and crossword puzzles.. She was a Christian and a member of Needmore Church of God.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances Tindell, Springfield and Geneva Inman, Dora; thirteen grandchildren, Steve, Deanna, Lewis, Sheila, Wendy, Eldon, Jeremy, Candace, Jessica, Daniel, Linda, Judith and Mary Alice; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Joletha Draper, Peoria, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husbands, two sons, Earnest and Curtis E. Keightley, one step-son, Dorsey Schaper, three great-grandchildren, four brothers, Gilbert, Leonard, Archie, Jr. and Austin Day, one sister, Mildred Thomas, two sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ball Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ball Cemetery and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
