carithersDon Carithers of Myron passed away on April 4th at St. Bernard’s Hospital. He was born in Hutchinson, KS on October 13, 1956 to Don and Irene (Baker) Carithers.

Don was a loving husband and best friend to Jill (Sanders) Carithers for 28 years; as well as a loving husband and best friend to Cody And Forrest.

Don loved to fish, Kayak, garden, take care of his farm, “tinkers” in his shop, go junking with Jill, and spend time with his boys, family and friends.

He thought every morning was “a beautiful day in the Ozarks”.

Don was an educator and school administrator for 29 years. During that time, he was a beloved and highly respected mentor, coworker, and friend who always had his students’ best interest in his heart.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Carithers Sr. and step father Dr. Audrey Thompson. He is survived by his wife Jill, sons Cody and forrest, mother Irene Thompson and inlaws Kenny and Dorthy Sanders. Don will have his final resting place on his farm that he loved, in the family plot, “Hearts Ease”.

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm Sunday in the Heath Oak Hill Capel in Highland. The visitation will start at 6:00pm Saterday at Heath Funeral Home.

A private interment will be held in Heartsease Cemetery.
