Lester Elvis Fretwell of Birch Tree, Missouri, passed away April 2, 2013, while fighting the fire that engulfed his home. Lester fought to the very end, bravely, and heroically to save the life of Sherry and their beloved animals. He was born August 24, 1953 in Bonham, Texas and resided in Birch Tree, Missouri.
A viewing will be held from 5-7pm on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Yarber Mortuary, 621 E. 5th St, Mountain View, MO.
He is survived by his partner, Sherry Ensey-Fretwell; children, Chris, Christina, LaChelle and Stephen, grandchildren, brothers, sister in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Lester enjoyed four-wheeling with his friends, canoeing, and playing Aggravation (with the red marbles). He was known as “Uncle Lester” by many youngsters in the area.
Lester will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
“He fought a good fight, he kept the faith, he won the race!” He left this earth a hero having loved, protected and caring for those he loved.
