shoemakerRonnie Allen “Oakie” Shoemaker, 56, Mountain View, Missouri died March 31, 2013 at his home. He was born in Winona, Missouri on March 17, 1957, the son of Floyd and Evylene Vernace (Baugher) Shoemaker.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Floyd; two brothers, James Shoemaker and Jim Shoemaker; two sisters, Wilma McAfee and Judy Haxton; three half-sisters, Bernice Franks, Luella Risner, and Louise Shelton.

Survivors include his mother, Evylene Shoemaker, Mountain View; six sons, Rodney Allen Shoemaker and wife, Erica, Mountain View, Keith Shoemaker, Eric Kirgan, Cory Kirgan, Derek Kirgan, and Dylan Kirgan, all of Junction City, IL; companion of 16 years, Pat Mayhugh; three brothers, Junior Shoemaker, Hoyleton, IL, Danny Shoemaker, Granite City, IL, Kenny Shoemaker, Winona, MO; six sisters, Glenda McAfee, Winona, MO, Edna Chronister, Mountain View, Nettie Goodin, Monroe, LA, Debbie Dorris, Mountain View, Marsha Bourland, West Plains, MO, and Tresa Hayes, Bourban, MO; and two grandchildren, Kaylie Shoemaker and Aiden Shoemaker.

Ronnie was baptized into the Christian faith. He worked as a logger. He was an avid outdoorsman. When he wasn’t in the woods working, he was enjoying his time with friends and family. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Visitation will be Wednesday April 3, 2013, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary, with graveside services Wednesday April 3, 2013, 4:00 p.m. at Pine Lawn Cemetery
