Roy Clifford Williams, Jr., 70, of Mountain View, Missouri departed this life on March 25, 2013 at Mercy St. Francis Hospital, Mountain View. He was born October 6, 1942 in Montier, Missouri, the son of Roy Clifford and Zella Mariah (Hansford) Williams.
Roy was united in marriage to Norma Jean Bailey on July 10, 1982 in Galesburg, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ray Mansfield, Ralph W. Williams, and Dean Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; children, Roy C. Williams, III and Paula Sue Williams of Santee, CA; stepdaughters, Jody L. Malmrose and husband, David, Santee, CA and Darcy J. Lynch, Fort Collins, CO; one brother, Rick L. Mansfield, Coal City, IL; two sisters, Eva Mae Werry, Thayer, MO and Mary Lue Nortrup, Stronghurst, IL; grandchildren, Alicia, Elaine, Justin, Roy IV, Tessa, R. Mariah, Austin, all of Santee, CA; great granddaughter, Annabelle Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy attended Respiratory Therapy school from 1971-74, receiving his national certification in 1976. He had worked in the Respiratory Therapy department at St. Francis Hospital for several years.
Roy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and had previously been a member at Lemon Grove Lutheran Church.
Roy lived by Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not “want”.
