Mary Anne Gornick, 77, a resident of Flippin formerly of Allentown, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Mountain Home.
She was born March 12, 1936, in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis Bandle and Mary Radokovitch. Mary Anne, along with her companion, Richard Mann retired to Flippin, Arkansas. Before retiring, she worked as a sewing machine operator at various factories throughout the Lehigh Valley. Mary Anne enjoyed her family including her two adopted cats, Tigger and Puss Cat, as well as spending time in the country amongst nature. She took great pride in her flower gardens and baking Christmas cookies. Mary Anne gave her children, grandchildren as well as great grandchildren an appreciation for the wonder and joy of life. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Gornick, Sr.; a son, Paul Gornick, Jr. and two brothers, Herman and William Bandle.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemarie and Ronald Howells of Apopka, Florida; three grandchildren, Jodi Howells of Apopka, Florida, Eric Howells of Orlando, Florida and Paula Gornick-Avalos of Enterprise, Alabama; three great grandchildren, Julian Avalos, Cayden Avalos and Logan Avalos, all of Enterprise, Alabama and two brothers, Lewis Bandle of Allentown, Pennsylvania and Robert Bandle of Walnutport, Pennsylvania; companion, Richard Mann of Flippin, Arkansas.
Arrangements are private under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
