Thomas J. Hendricks, 86, a resident of Mountain Home, formerly of Chicago, Illinois passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Center in Mountain Home.

He was born June 7, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois to the late, George and Mary Butterly Hendricks. Mr. Hendricks was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. After his military service he worked as a chauffeur for Marshall Fields. He married Lois Joan Carl on October 17, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. In 1999 they relocated to Mountain Home from Chicago. Mr. Hendricks is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois Hendricks and a brother, George Hendricks.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jackie Hendricks of Mountain Home and Thomas C. and Debie Hendricks of Zebulon, North Carolina; a daughter, Claudia Keppel of Mountain Home; a sister, Armadine Snyder of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; five grandchildren, Karen (Tim) Ciskowski of Mountain Home, Christopher (Nikki) Ciskowski of Chicago, Illinois, Seth (Amber) Hendricks of Middlesex, North Carolina and Katelyn and Sarah Hendricks, both of Zebulon, North Carolina; two great grandchildren, Richard (Jess) Sell and Joseph Sell, both of Mountain Home and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor David Gadbaw officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
