He was born December 24, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Louie James Stewart and Barbara Moreland Stewart.
James loved volunteering at Project Love, working with leather and gardening, but most importantly spending time with his children and grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his father Louie.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beverley Stewart of Calico Rock; his mother Barbara; four children; Kerri and Paul Hale of Calico Rock, Adam and Bethany Stewart of Calico Rock, Jimmy and Kim Stewart of Salem and Eric Stewart of the home; eight grandchildren; Alex and Andy Hale, Gauge, Dakota and Piper Stewart, Kazzie, Maddy, Sullivan Stewart; four step-grand children Clara, Carter, Jonah and Ella English; a brother, Greg Stewart and a sister Lorie Swayze both of Oklahoma.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
