He was born February 11, 1940, in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Harry W. and Verna A. Weingart Sickle. Mr. Sickle married Bonnie Ruth Hall on April 24, 1987, in Jackson, Mississippi after dating for four years. He worked as a machinist for five years at Youngstown Welding in Youngstown, Ohio and then retired from General Motors as a Skilled Trades Supervisor after 32 years of service. Mr. Sickle loved antique tractors, tractor pulling and gardening, but his favorite hobby was machining. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Bonnie Sickle of Mountain Home; three sons, Timothy Sickle of Lake Milton, Ohio, Jason Sickle of Jackson, Mississippi and Heath Rials of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; three daughters, Lisa Petela of Sunrise, Florida, Heather Dubose of Clinton, Mississippi and Kimberly Rials of Lufkin, Texas; two brothers, Gary Sickle of Lake Milton, Ohio and Dave Sickle of Salisbury, North Carolina; a sister, Jeanette Thomas of Arizona; five grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home Chapel with Major Johnny Poff officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
