headWilbert Arther Head, age 81, son of Millard and Beulah (Smith) Head was born March 21, 1932 in Summersville, MO. He passed away August 29, 2013 at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, MO.

Wilbert was raised in Summersville, MO and graduated from Summersville High School. He married Joan Anderson in 1952 and to this union two children were born, David and JoAnn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan in 1989, a brother, Herschel Head and a sister, Wilma Harris.

Wilbert worked for Granite City Steel in Illinois for forty years. After he retired he moved back to the country, where he enjoyed working on his farm, planting garden, hunting and anything that involved the outdoors.

Wilbert is survived by his son David Head, his daughter, JoAnn Simon and husband Kenneth of Granite City, IL, three grandchildren, his beloved friend of over 20 years, Jean Cole of Raymondville, MO, her children; Kathy Thomure of Summersville, MO, Karen Weinberger of Houston, MO, Kenneth Fortune of Licking, MO, Patty Fortune and Kim Akers of Raymondville, MO and numerous other grandchildren with whom he called his own.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Memorials may be made to Texas County Hospice of Care. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Saturday August 31, 2013 at Evans Funeral Home, with services beginning at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Burial will be Tuesday September 3, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.

Marion Munson, 82, of Mountain Home passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Marion was born May 18, 1931 in Chicago Ill. She is survived locally by her life partner Donald Feltes of Mountain Home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Chicago, Ill. Local arrangements are by Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

Funeral services for F. Elizabeth Kessinger, 97, White Hall, Arkansas, formerly of West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 2013 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kessinger died at 5:37 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She was born September 18, 1915 at Siloam Springs, Missouri to Irving Douglas Caplinger and Mary Isabella Coldwell Caplinger. On June 7, 1936, she was married at West Plains, Missouri to Raymond Mack Kessinger who preceded her in death on December 21, 1979. In March of 1945, she was inducted into the Order of Eastern Star, West Plains Chapter #193 and served as the Worthy Matron in 1957. Mrs. Kessinger was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of West Plains and a founding member of East Side Baptist Church at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

She is survived by six children, Linda Wells, husband, Howard, Monticello, Arkansas, Bonnie Milan, husband, Larry, Bauxite, Arkansas, David Kessinger, White Hall, Arkansas, Deborah Mewby, husband, Pat, White Hall, Arkansas, Anna Lisemby, husband, Larry, White Hall, Arkansas and Ginger Chambliss, White Hall, Arkansas; two sons-in-law, Jerry Marsh, West Plains, Missouri and Bob Bivens, Sherwood, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, two sons, Guy Way Kessinger and Donald Kessinger, two daughters, Mary Beth Marsh and Hetta Bivens and two grandchildren, Randy Marsh and Brad Kessinger, precede her in death.

Mrs. Kessinger will lie in state from 4:00 p.m., Saturday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery. Michelle Lee Gallamore, age 37, of Licking, MO passed away August 29, 2013 at her home.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 1, 2013, 6-8 P.M. at Fox Funeral Home.

Service will be held Monday, September 2, 2013, 1:00 P.M. at Fox Chapel.

Interment will be in Licking Cemetery.

Berniece Melba Holaday, age 96, of Success, MO passed away August 27, 2013 in Houston House, Houston, MO. She was born October 9, 1916 in Ellis Prairie, MO to Grover and Polly (Jones) Kirkman.

Berniece was raised in the Ellis Prairie area and spent her entire life living on a farm in Success.

She attended school and received her teaching degree and taught in several Rural Schools and in Licking, Plato and Success. She also helped out at the Success Post office where she was officer in charge.

She married George W. Holaday May 9, 1939 in Houston at the Rev. Halbrook’s home. And to this union three children were born, Gary, Debbie and Linda.

Berniece was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, a daughter, Linda Wolford, a brother, Delmar Kirkman and two sisters; Juanita Daugherty and Faye Flowers.

She is survived by her son, Gary Holaday and wife Barb of Bucyrus, MO, her daughter Debbie Holaday of Rolla, MO, three grandchildren; Jeffrey Wolford of Houston, MO, Jennifer Leatherman of Texarkana, TX and Darin Leatherman of Texas, two step-grandchildren; Phillip and Andrea Curry of Houston, MO, one great-grandchild, Tyler Curry of Houston, MO and a sister, Mable Mitchell of Licking, MO.

Berniece enjoyed traveling and went on many cruises throughout her life, she toured, Europe, Alaska, Australia, Hawaii, Asia, the Caribbean and many other places. She could also play a mean game of cards, especially pitch or pinochle.

Berniece will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Lewis “Louie” E Morgan, age 59, son of Louis Elmer and Frances Belle (Stanton) Morgan was born September 16, 1953 in Houston, MO. He passed away on August 26, 2013 at his home in Mountain Grove, MO.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Aleta Braithwaite, Brenda Morgan and Marjorie Morgan and one brother Johnny Morgan.

He is survived by his son Jason Morgan and wife Andrea of Plato, MO, three grandchildren: Lexi, Ally, and Stetson; three brothers: Jerry Morgan of New London, MO, Charles Morgan of Palmyra, MO and Marty Morgan of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters Vivian Warner of Bucyrus, MO and Sherry Skaggs of Bucyrus, MO, and companion Connie Preston, numerous other relatives and friends.

Louie was an Auto Mechanic and a logger by trade. He always loved the out doors and spent many hours fishing and hunting.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Friday August 30th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Evans Funeral Home. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.

Donald Alan (Skip) Durick, age 59, died August 28, 2013 at home in Elk Creek, MO. He was born November 8, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to Donald and Donna (Hoffman) Durick.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of Elk Creek, MO, his daughter Stephanie and son Jeremy of Kenosha, Wisconsin;

four grandchildren, Nautica, Jayden, Amira and Jessie. Other survivors include a sister Dulce of New York and a sister Lawrie of Wisconsin.

Skip grew up in Glen Rock, New Jersey. He met and married Cindy in 1975 in Wisconsin, where they raised their family and worked until retiring to their hobby farm in Elk Creek, MO.

Skip had worked the majority of his career as a Maintenance Engineer and then site coordinator at St. Catherine’s Hospital/United Hospital Systems in Kenosha, WI.

A memorial service was in the Houston United Methodist Church where Skip and his wife are members. The service was at 10:00 on August 30, 2013. Pastor Tom Tomlinson and Beth Duckworth officiated. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Houston United Methodist Church. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Eugene Marvin Gutscher was born on November 3, 1928 in McCook, Nebraska to Alvin Emerson Gutscher and Nellie Mae (Webb) Gutscher. He went to be with his Lord on August 28, 2013 at his home in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of 84 years 9 months and 25 days.

Visitation will be from 1-3 PM August 30 at Little Zion Baptist Church in Trask. Funeral Services will be at 3 PM Friday, August 30 at Little Zion Baptist Church, with interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mountain View.

He was united in marriage to Elsie Berniece Nicholson on August 28, 1948 at Hardy, Arkansas and to this union five children were born.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie, of the home; two sons, Mike Gutscher and wife, Judy, of Mehlville, MO and Pat Gutscher of Mountain View; two daughters, Debbie Schulz and Karen Gutscher, both of Mountain View; two brothers, Harold Gutscher of Springfield, MO and Jim Gutscher of Mountain View; three sisters, Iona Wiese of Lee Summit, MO, Zola Gordon of Mountain View, and Crystal Hurt of Prineville, OR; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Keith; two grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers.

Gene worked at Smith Flooring for over 40 years and returned to help several times after his “official” retirement. He made many lifelong friends while working there.

Gene loved the Lord and was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we look forward to that great reunion in heaven.

Funeral Services for Mr. Junior Wilbanks, age 85 of the Mountain View area, will be held Friday, August 28, at 10:00 Am at Bradford Funeral Home in Summersville.

Visitation for Junior Wilbanks will be held at Bradford Funeral Home, Thursday evening, August 29, from 6 to 8 PM

Burial will be in Oakside Cemetery near Summersville under the care of Bradford Funeral Home

Deborah Ann Alexander (aka Morris), 61years of age, passed away on August 16, 2013 in her home in Idaho Falls, ID while in the care of her two daughters and Idaho Home Health and Hospice. Deborah was born on July 9, 1953 in Amarillo, TX and came to live in Hardy, Ar in 1959. She graduated from Highland High School in 1970 and prior to retirement she spent time in a career surrounding the stock market industry for many years.

Survivors include her three children Laura Jeanette (Tom) Silvey of Idaho Falls, ID., Jerad (Sheriece) Morris of Cordova, TN., and Sarah Ann (Kirby) Walker of Idaho Falls, ID. and her nine grandchildren in order of descending age: Dakota Silvey, Payton Davis, Ethan Morris, Pearson Morris, Benjamin Leija, Addison Morris, Liam Walker, Emerson Morris and Tennyson Morris.

Visitation service will be held at Heath Funeral Home in Hardy, AR. on September 3rd in the evening from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Graveside service will be held at Baker Cemetery in Hardy, AR. on September 4the at 10:00am with Brad Hartness Officiating.
