Graveside services for J. L. Thomas, 51, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2012 at Union Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

J. L. went to be with his Lord and Savior at 4:49 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012, in the comforts of his own home with his family by his side.

He was born August 16, 1961, at West Plains, Missouri, to Aaron and Rosa Thomas and continued to call West Plains his home through his entire life. On August 28, 1995, he was married to Susan Scharnhorst. J. L. enjoyed many of life’s simple treasures. He enjoyed stock car racing, farming, reading, being outdoors and spending time with his friends and family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his three cherished grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Thomas, of the family home; daughters, Julie Miller, husband, Jimmy, Halie Thomas and Kaley Kohler; grandsons, Heston, Lincoln and Cameron Miller and another grandchild on the way; his mother, Rosa Thomas; two sisters, Sharon West and Sandy Whitworth; one brother, Mitts Thomas; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.

His father, maternal grandparents, Ray and Ella Mitts and paternal grandparents, Eugene and Hazel Thomas, precede him in death.

J. L. was a devoted son, husband, father, papa and friend. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Mr. Thomas will lie in state from 5:00 p.m., Sunday until Noon Monday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Funeral services for Marjorie Edna Murray, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 17, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Murray died at 5:40 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at Brooke Haven Health Care.

She was born June 22, 1922, at Deluth, Minnesota, to John and May Grismer. On December 12, 1941, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Billy D. Murray, who preceded her in death on June 24, 1992. Mrs. Murray was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by three children, David Murray, wife, Tereasa, Edna Scott and George Murray, special friend, Paula Halter, all of West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Christopher Murray, Jason Murray, Janel Williams and Cody Scott; four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Her parents, husband and one son, Billy Roy Murray, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Howell Valley Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Valley Cemetery. James Huckabee, 59, a resident of Gassville went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 13, 2012, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 5, 1953, in Newport, Arkansas to the late Orville Edward and Dovie Viola Nelson Huckabee. James married Glenda Susan Tilley on May 27, 1978, in Mountain Home. He worked at White River Industries for over 17 years and then for the Gassville Sewer and Line Crew for 12 years. James retired from the Gassville Fire Department as a volunteer fireman after 20 years. He was a member of the Gassville Baptist Church and Cotter Masonic Lodge. James’ passion was music, and he especially loved playing guitar with his son, Robby and grandson, Ethan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, visiting Maui each year with his wife and camping with his wife, grandchildren, Nat, Kenneth and Paul. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Glenda Huckabee of Gassville; a son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Chelsea Huckabee and granddaughter Ava Huckabee, all of Fayetteville; a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and David Wooten and grandchildren, Ethan, Alexa and Makenna Wooten, all of Gassville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Paula Huckabee of Batesville, Tom and Nola Green of Calico Rock and O.E. Huckabee of McCrory; two sisters, Bonnie Payne of Beedeville and Peggy Green of McCrory and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2012, at the Gassville Baptist Church with the Reverend Gary Wise officiating. Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery in Flippin under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tim Kelley, Jack Tilley, Richard Perry, Ray Haney, Kenneth Tilley and Eddie Stone. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Thomas, Tim McFarland, Nemo Tilley and his fellow firefighters, Bill Johnson, Earl Yowell, Kenneth Smith, Danny Smith, Jimmy Weaver, J.D. Tyler, Rick Peglar, Jeff Braim, Gene Cox and Steve Krantz.

Billy Joe Letterman, 61, of Birch Tree, Missouri died December 10, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born May 30, 1951 in Marshfield, Missouri, the son of Floyd and Vivian (Tate) Letterman.

Visitation will be Friday December 14, 2012, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary in Mountain View. Funeral Services will be Saturday December 15, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary, with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to Faith Bible Chapel, Mountain View, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl.

Survivors include one son, Eric Letterman and wife, Kellee, of Birch Tree; one brother, Ronnie Letterman and wife, Linda, of Springfield; two sisters, Brenda Rawl and Virginia Ramsey, both of Springfield; three grandchildren, Megan, Billy, and Natasha; several nieces and nephews; and lifetime friends and pastor, Garry and Vicki Clemens, of Birch Tree.

Billy was the owner/operator of B.J.’s Tire Shop for 22 years. He was loved by family, friends, and acquaintances.

He was a member of Faith Bible Chapel, where he was a very active Elder. Billy loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Iva Paul McKinney, 71, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Stephen Mark McKinney officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Iva Edward McKinney and Effie Lorene Lamb McKinney, on December 11, 1941 in Elk, New Mexico and died December 11, 2012 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage July 7, 1962 in Salem, Arkansas to Wanda Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Davis McKinney, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; three children, Joseph Daniel McKinney and wife, Jodie Lynn, Timothy Matthew McKinney, and Stephen Mark McKinney and wife, Rogia Annette; five grandchildren, Daniel McKinney and wife, Crystal, Korrie McKinney, Bethany Yarbrough and husband, Dale, Mariah McKinney, and Travis McKinney, and one great grandchild, Zade Cypret.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.

He attended the New Life Tabernacle in Salem, Arkansas. He loved working in the church and was a great soul winner for Christ. He served his country with the United States Army.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses and can be left at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri,under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

Military rites will be performed by the West Plains Honor Guard and the Missouri Funeral Honors Program.

Betty Lou Chitwood Siefker, 80 , Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, at Ash Flat Care Center.

Born Monday, May 30, 1932 in Erlanger, Kentucky to the late Earl and Hazel Simpson Chitwood. Best friend and loving wife to the late Glenn Richard Siefker.

She leaves behind three sisters, Billie Thomas, Ft Myers, FL. Joyce Johns, North Ft. Myers, FL. and Janet NeCamp, Burlington, KY.

Funeral service will be held at Heath Funeral Home, Highland, AR. on Thursday at 11:00 am private burial will follow.

Doris Miltilda Cook, 87 of Hardy, Arkansas died on Monday, at White River Medical Center.

Born Saturday,December 20, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George Daye and the late Cary Horsulein Daye.

Survived by her daughters, Valerie McCord, Pauline Weaver, Rose Kerr and Ethlyn Vaughan; 11 grand children; 34 great grand children.

She was predeceased by son, George Cook.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, 3:00pm at Heath Oak Hill Chapel in Highland.

Morris Lazeron Barwald, Jr., 82 of Cherokee Village, Arkansas died on Monday, December 10, 2012, at his Residence in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.

Born Tuesday, December 17, 1929 in Miami, Florida.

He was a Veteran of Korea. and a Personnal Manager for Pan Am Airways.

Survived by his son, Morris G Barwald of Houston, TX. and Granddaughter Donica Barwald. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Barwald and his parents.

Lanny J Williams, age 70, passed away in his home on Sunday December 9, 2012. He was surrounded with his family and friends. Lanny was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He retired as District Chief from the Des Moines Fire Dept. after 33 years of service. Moving to Arkansas in 1996. He was proceeded in death by his parents Lee and Maxine Williams.

Survived by his wife Cheryl William of the home. a son, TSGT Robert Williams of Maryland, daughters, Jody Williams of Des Moines, IA, Julie Vaughn of Missouri, and Amy Lenex of Glencoe, AR. nine grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Makayla, Jessica, Cody, Joanna, Jesse and Makinze.

Lanny requested no funeral, A memorial service will be held on Friday December 14, 2012 at the Highland Elks Lodge at 6:00pm. His wish was for no flowers and that donations be made to the Dean Crum Christmas Baskets Fund at the Highland Elks.

Funeral services for Aileen Heath Bentley, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bentley died at 5:20 a.m., Sunday, December 9, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Center.

She was born October 3, 1920, in Howell County, Missouri, to Francis and Lydia Heselton Heath. On December 2, 1937, she was married to Cleve Carter, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 11,1970. On October 15, 1973, she was married to Reed Bentley, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1989. Mrs. Bentley was a homemaker and attended the Second Baptist Church for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty McThompson and Martha Talley, both of West Plains, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Mildred Carter, Marshfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Alan McThompson, wife, Lou, West Plains, Missouri, David McThompson, wife Elaine, El Paso, Texas, Larry Carter, wife, Janice, Mike Carter, all of West Plains, Missouri, Gary Carter, wife, Cheryl, Richard Carter, wife, Mary Ann, Roger Carter, wife, Teresa, all of Marshfield, Missouri, Nina Guest, husband, Glenn, Columbia, Missouri; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James D. Heath, wife, Jan, North Hampton, Ohio; step-daughter, Emma Beach, St. Charles, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husbands, two sons, Cleve Carter, Jr. and James Richard Carter, one granddaughter, Diana Sue Brewer, six sisters, one brother, two sons-in-law, Harry McThompson and Melvin Talley, precede her in death.

Mrs. Bentley will lie in state from 3:00 p.m., Tuesday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
