Funeral services for Norma Jean McLarning, 78, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. McLarning died at 10:48 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Center. She was born August 6, 1933, at Rockford, Illinois to William and Claire Littlejohn. On December 12, 1952, she was married in the State of Illinois to James Edward McLarning, Jr., who preceded her in death on July 21, 1985. Mrs. McLarning was of the Church of Christ faith.

She is survived by three children, Barbara Johnson, husband, Tony, Bakersfield, Missouri, Brenda McLarning, significant other, Mark Johnson, Mountain Home, Arkansas and Robin Fitzgerald, West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Lawrence Fitzgerald, Jr., wife, Jenny, Michelle Parker, husband, Casey, Marcus Johnson and Shayna Shelton, husband, Jeffrey; eight great-grandchildren, Toby, Michael, Angel and Carl Fitzgerald, Peyton and Caden Parker and Madison and Tristen Shelton; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband and sixteen brothers and sisters, precede her in death.

Committal services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Edgar Springs Cemetery, Edgar Springs, Missouri. On line condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com.

Leonard Lee Shepherd was born March 14, 1924 at Ellington, Missouri to the union of Charles W. and Pearl A. (Box) Shepherd. He departed this life on April 28, 2012 at Birch Tree Place at the age of 88 years.

Leonard was united in marriage to Glenna Naomi Lambert on April 17, 1948. This union was blessed with two daughters, Patricia Ann and Catherine Sue.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Charles Shepherd; his wife, Naomi; one daughter, Patricia Ann Ledgerwood; one granddaughter, Kimberly Sue (McGath) Fuller; one grandson, Michael Lee Ledgerwood; one great grandson, Brian W. Fuller; one son-in-law, Rollie J. McGath; five brothers, Odis, Glen, Clarence, Frank and Chester; and two sisters, Ollie Camden and Edna Whittington.

He is survived by his daughter, Catherine McGath, Mountain View; six grandchildren, Kevin McGath, Sikeston, MO, Teona McGath, Springfield, MO, Katrina McGath, Mountain View, Beverly Craig and husband, Donnie, Birch Tree, MO, Virgil L. Ledgerwood, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, Franklinville, NJ, and Rhonda Shepherd and husband, Mike, Stotts City, MO; eight great grandchildren, Cassandra and Brianna Fuller, Thayer, MO, Eliza Hopper, Birch Tree, Jarod, Jeffery and Heather Ledgerwood, Franklinville, NJ, Shashauna Smith, Florida, Rebecca Long and husband, Jeremy, Stotts City; two great great grandchildren, Chesney and Hayden Swindle, Birch Tree; and one sister-in-law, Lois Shepherd, Birch Tree.

Leonard was employed by Smith Flooring and retired after 38 years of service.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, carpentry, working in his yard, Western movies, sitting on his porch drinking coffee, and spending time with his family.

He accepted God into his life as his Savior on February 13, 2011.

He loved his family, friends, and God. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be Monday April 30 from 6-8 PM at Yarber Mortuary. Services will be May 1 at 1 PM at Yarber Mortuary, with interment at Oaklawn Cemetery, West Plains, MO.

Funeral Services for Clara L. Smith, a resident of Raymondville will be held Monday, April 30 at 2:00 PM at Bradford Funeral Home in Summersville.

Visitation for Clara L. Smith will be held at Bradford Funeral Home, Monday from12:00PM to service time.

Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery near Hartshorn under the care of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.

Funeral Services for Walter Glen Underwood, 82, Thayer, Missouri, will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains with Brother Bill Bales officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Thomas Huston Underwood and Bessie Ellen Forest Underwood, on June 2, 1929 in Alton, Missouri and died April 25, 2012 in West Plains, Missouri.

He is survived by one brother, George Underwood, Pomona, Missouri; one sister, Henrietta Deutchlander; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Huston Underwood and Bessie Ellen Forest Underwood; one brother, Harris Underwood; four sisters, Marie Edwards, Reta Teague, Nancy Dobbs Warden and Ruth Underwood who died in infancy.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict and was a machinist for the Small Electric Motor Company in Granite City, Illinois for ten years.

Family visitation will be Noon-2PM Saturday

Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

Martin Dehn, 80, West Plains, Missouri, died at 6:34 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Missouri. He was born September 22, 1931, at St. Louis, Missouri, to Raymond Bernerd Dehn and Bernice Cecela Stein Dehn. Mr. Dehn was a veteran having served with the United States Navy. Before his retirement, he was a medical equipment sales representative for Air Shield Inc., St. Louis, Missouri. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and loved boating and fishing. Mr. Dehn was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Plains, Missouri.

He is survived by two sisters, Vi Higgins, St. Charles, Missouri and Janet Copeland, West Plains, Missouri; special nephew and family, Harold Copeland, Sr., wife, Betty, and their son, Harold Copeland, Jr., all West Plains, Missouri; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

His parents precede him in death.

Elizabeth Ann Henneforth, 78, West Plains, Missouri, died at 2:33 a.m., Monday, April 23, 2012, at her home.  She was born May 12, 1933, at West Plains, Missouri, to H. R. and Opal McDonald Case.

She is survived by two children, Donald Fields, West Plains, Missouri and Danny Fields, wife, Jenny, Hayward, California; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Blanche Cozort, husband, Conrad, West Plains, Missouri.

Her parents and husband, precede her in death.

Mrs. Lillie Avis Kinder, age 95, passed away April 24, 2012 in Licking, MO.

She is survived by daughter Alta Adey.

Service for Mrs. Lillie Avis Kinder will be held Friday, April 27, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 6-8 P.M. at Fox Chapel.

Interment in Boone Creek Cemetery.

Funeral services for Georgia Gertrude (Casey) Mitchell, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mitchell died at 3:33 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Center. She was born February 4, 1922, at Elijah, Missouri, to Alfred Henson Casey and Edith Clara Maritt Casey. On August 28, 1940, she was married to Charles O. Boswell, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1943. On July 30, 1946, she was married to Q. L. Mitchell, who preceded her in death on February 23, 1963. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting and quilting. Her family was her life and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Gertie was baptized into the Church of Christ at an early age and remained a faithful Christian her entire life. She attended Central Church of Christ for several years.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Joy Brown, husband, David, Dixon, Missouri and one son, Dale Henry Mitchell, wife, Pat, Caulfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Dale Brown, wife, Sherry, Dixon, Missouri, Gregory Daniel Brown, companion, Sarah Wolfe, Dixon, Missouri, Daphne Michelle Bentley, husband, Myles, Udall, Missouri, Elizabeth Renee Clements, husband, Jefferson, Caulfield, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Tyler and Nate Williams, Chiara Brown, Jaryn Brown and Olivia Clements; one sister, Freda Bean, West Plains, Missouri, one brother, Pat Henry Casey, wife, Shirley, West Plains, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Ima Casey, Heber Springs, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and many more family members and friends.

Her parents, husbands, one sister, Beulah Silver and two brothers, Melvin Casey and Fred Casey, precede her in death.

Ronald R. Wenger, age 87, of Edgar Springs, Missouri passed away April 23, 2012.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Fox Funeral Home. Service will be Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at Fox Chapel. Interment will be in Licking Cemetery.

Funeral services for Virginia Lee Tackitt, 81, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Elijah Christ Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Tackitt died at 1:20 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012, at NHC Healthcare, West Plains, Missouri. She was born September 11, 1930, at Norfolk, Virginia, to William Bailey Shelton and Ollie Etta Elizabeth Hobbs Shelton. On October 23, 1946, she was married at Wasco, California, to J. B. Tackitt, who preceded her in death on April 19, 2001. Before her retirement, she had been a bookkeeper and clerk at Consumer’s and JC Penney. Mrs. Tackitt was a member of Central Church of Christ.

She is survived by five children, Ron Tackitt, Elijah, Missouri, Jerry Tackitt, wife, Judy, Huntingburg, Indiana, Roger Tackitt, wife, Marlene, Caulfield, Missouri, Stephen Tackitt, wife, Eden, West Plains, Missouri and Paula Vandiver, husband, Jay, Rockwall, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Lorie, Marcie, Michael, Amy, Anna, Stephanie, Corina, Jarod, Brianne and Joel; seventeen great-grandchildren, Aly, Allison, Tori, Jay, Olivia, Bobbi, Taylor, Emilie, Jacob, Maggie, Tyler, Alex, Abby, Allie, Haven, Maverick and Vandiver.

Her parents, husband, three sisters, and two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Brandon, precede her in death.
