(Norfork) – Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the death a man who was fatally shot in the Norfork area Tuesday evening is under investigation.
Montgomery says that the call came in to Baxter County 911 around 8:40 AM Tuesday, and deputies from the Sheriff’s Department, along with personnel from the Norfork Police Department and first responders from Baxter Regional Medical Center, responded to the call.
65-year-old Dennis Chapman of Salesville was pronounced dead at the home on Major Street in Norfork shortly after the county coroner arrived.
Montgomery says the body has been taken to the Arkansas Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for an autopsy.
