(West Plains) – The West Plains City Council has chosen former city administrator and engineer Royce Fugate as the newest member of the city council.
The decision came Wednesday afternoon at a special meeting of the city council. Council members Brenda Smith, Bob Burtrum and Lou Citro voted for Fugate, while Mayor Jack Pahlmann voted for Terry Sanders of West Plains.
Also in the running was David Kirk of West Plains.
Fugate will be sworn in during the reorganization meeting Monday, October 22 at 5 PM. The regular council meeting will start at 5:30 PM.
