(Mountain Grove) – A fire at a residence in Mountain Grove early Friday morning has claimed the life of a 2-year-old.
Ozark Radio News spoke with Mountain Grove Fire Chief Mark Bushong on Friday morning, who told us that the call came in around 6:30 AM of a fire at 501 W. 13th St. in Mountain Grove. When firefighters arrived, Bushong says the house was fully involved in the living room area of the home.
Firefighters learned the family had escaped the blaze, but a two-year-old was still in the residence. Firefighters recovered the child and attempted to revive him, but were unsuccessful.
