(West Plains) – The 19th Annual OMC Rehabilitation Services Docs vs. Jocks benefit basketball game was held Thursday night, and raised over $5,000 for a 2-year-old West Plains girl.

A total of $5,024.09 was raised for the family of Brayli Ellison, the daughter of Dustin and Ashleigh Ellison. Brayli began having seizures November 23, 2011 and was flown to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where physicians found a tumor mass on her motor strip. They performed surgery that day, and Brayli was diagnosed with Stage 2 Glioma cancer.

In the future, she may require assistive devices, further treatment, additional types of rehabilitation therapy and more travel. The Docs vs. Jocks proceeds help offset these expenses.

The Docs won 43-42.

Blane Dunbar was named the Most Valuable Jock and Dr. Kathy Egly was named the Most Valuable Doc for raising the most money as an individual. (ORN Photo)
