(West Plains) – The South Centeral Career Center’s Career Expo will be held tomorrow at the West Plains High School Gym from 9 AM to 11 AM, and will help students in area schools learn more about SCCC and what they offer to students after high school

Representatives from the school say that each SCCC program will not only have a booth or table set up with information about their program but also activities, demo’s and food samples. This event is designed to help students in the decision making process of furthering their education, career plans and finding the best path for each students so they will be job ready after completing their goals.

The Career Center will also have their Showcase Night February 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on the West Plains High School campus. This night allows individuals to come in and tour our classrooms and meet the instructors of each program. A ‘silent auction’ will also be held on desktop and laptop computers that were build by SCCC Computer & Maintenance students and wrapped in graphic art by our Graphic Design students. The computers have themes of WarCraft, Star Wars, Patriotic and many more. Winners of the auction will be announced that night. All proceeds from the auction will go to Skills USA. Student that are interested in Auto Tech & Collision, Welding, and Surg Tech will be allowed to visit that campus on that night, as well.
