(Douglas County) – A 25-year old man who attempted to cross a low water crossing in Douglas County Thursday morning only sustained minor cuts and scrapes, after his vehicle became stuck in the water.
KYTV-Springfield reports that the man, who was unidentified in a report, told authorities he couldn’t see how high the water was when he tried to cross Cowskin Creek on Y Highway shortly after 5 AM Thursday morning.
He escaped his vehicle and attempted to walk across the low-water slab but lost his footing and held onto tree limbs until rescuers could toss him a rope. Rescuers used a fire truck to pull him to safety.
