(West Plains) – The next Mayor Pro-Tem of the city of West Plains has been named as councilman Lou Citro, after Monday’s city council meeting at West Plains City Hall.
West Plains PR Director and City Clerk Mallory Thompson told Ozark Radio News on Monday that the council will look to pick someone to fill the vacant spot on the council in October, after interviewing a number of candidates.
Also at the meeting Monday, the city council approved Bill 4278, which vacated East Dixon Street from Howell Avenue to North College Street and the alley between Dixon Street to the railroad tracks. Ordinance 971, which would allow the city of West Plains to enter into a parking lot agreement with Richards Brothers, was shelved until next month so the council could receive more information on the proposal.
