(Houston) – A Houston resident suffered serious injuries Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle accident near his hometown.
The accident happened on Brushy Creek Road at 10:10 AM according to the Highway Patrol. 89-year-old Paul Foster was taken from the scene of the accident to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
The report states Foster was eastbound on Brushy Creek Road, when a westbound vehicle driven by 20-year-old Jonathan Stenger of Mountain Grove crossed the center line and struck Foster’s vehicle in the rear, causing the vehicle to swerve off-road and hit an embankment and a number of trees.
The report says that Foster was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred. Stenger was uninjured in the accident.
