(Midvale) – A Summersville resident was seriously injured Monday morning after his vehicle struck a tree on the side of Route W near Midvale.
The accident happened at 8:30 AM. 83-year-old Andrew Stoops was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by helicopter.
Stoops was northbound on Route W, about 1 mile south of Midvale, when the accident occurred.
