(West Plains) – The West Plains Planning and Zoning commission met Thursday afternoon at West Plains City Hall to discuss a site development plan for the moving of the Family Dollar store from its current location in the Parkway Shopping Center to a new development location at the corner of Porter Wagoner Blvd and Ransom Road.
Jane Earnhart with Olsson and Associates, the site developers, spoke before the council and told the council that the project had been discussed with MoDOT. Since Porter Wagoner Blvd is a business route, MoDOT has a say in matters concerning the road.
City Engineering Technician Supervisor Wes Parks told the commission that the proposed parking and approaches met or exceeded code requirements.
The commission approved the plan unanimously, pending approval of approaches from MoDOT. The proposal will now go to the city council at their meeting on Monday.
