(West Plains) – A Pomona man has been charged with two counts of Statutory Rape.
28-year-old Lowell Keeler of Pomona was arrested at the West Plains Police Department on August 10 on the charges. A probable cause statement from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office states that Deputy Derek Hughston of the department was called to the Willow Springs Motel on August 10 by a 15-year-old, who had reportedly had sexual relations with Keeler in Willow Springs around the end of July, and again around August 5.
Keeler was called into the Willow Springs Police Department for an interview, and reportedly told investigators that the victim told him she was 18 years old, and later, 16 years old before their second encounter.
Keeler was charged afterward and arrested, and later released on bond.
