(Jefferson City) – In the newly redistricted 154th District Representative race Tuesday night, former West Plains Police officer and detective Shawn Rhoads of West Plains defeated both of his
Republican challengers to the seat, West Plains businessman Stan Watson and West Plains businesswoman Kathleen Hensley.
Rhoads talked with Ozark Radio News after he was declared the Republican nominee. He thanked the Howell County residents for putting their trust in him:

Rhoads faces Democrat RA Pendergrass of Bakersfield in November. He was unopposed Tuesday in the primary.
Meanwhile, in the new 142nd District, land surveyor Robert Ross emerged the victor in the four-way race for the seat. Ross defeated fellow Republicans Don Bordwell, Chris Purvis, and Ted Sheppard.
Ross spoke with Ozark Radio News and said that he is ready to work:

There were no opposing party challengers to the seat.
In other State Representative results from the region, Republican Lyle Rowland of Cedar Creek will be the new Representative for the 155th District, beating Republican Mike Lind in the primary.
