(West Plains) – With the West Plains city council passing an ordinance requiring a prescription to purchase ephedrine and pseudoephedrine products, there are now two communities in Howell County with that requirement as Mtn. View already has such an ordinance in place. Howell County Sheriff Mike Shannon says the ordinances have their pros and cons:

The city of West Plains ordinance was passed by the city council Monday night and goes into effect ten days from its passage.
