(West Plains) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirms two people have been killed in a 3-vehicle accident Friday morning near West Plains.
The Highway Patrol says that the accident happened at 10:25 AM on Highway 160, about 2 miles west of West Plains, where an eastbound motorcycle driven by 22-year-old Lawrence Goure of Peace Valley struck an eastbound truck, which was slowing down due to traffic, in the rear. The motorcycle then slid into oncoming traffic and was struck by a westbound semi.
Goure and a passenger, 15-year-old Miranda Prokopovich of West Plains, were both killed in the accident and taken to Robertson Drago Funeral Home in West Plains.
The deaths marks fatalities number 21 and 22 for Troop G of the Highway Patrol for 2012, compared to 18 deaths at this time last year.

(West Plains) – A multi-vehicle accident near West Plains Friday morning has slowed traffic on Highway 160.
The accident happened late Friday morning on Highway 160 about before CR 8270 outside of the West Plains city limits. Both west and eastbound traffic was diverted from the highway through the Genesis Church parking lot for over an hour.
At least one fatality has been confirmed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
