(Houston) – To help combat unwanted pharmaceuticals in Missouri’s water systems and city water supplies, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Houston Police Department and the Big Piney River Stream Team will be co-hosting a drug take-back event September 29 at the Houston Walmart from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Peter Maki with the Top of the Ozarks Resource Conservation and Development Group talks about the growing problem of flushing pharmaceuticals:

Maki says that the stream teams are helping promote and put on the event to help protect the natural beauty of the Ozarks:

The drug take-back event will be held with a “no questions asked” attitude – people can simply drive up, drop off the prescription medication, and drive away. More information will be released as the event’s date draws closer.
