(Willow Springs) – The Willow Springs Rural and the Eleven Point Fire Departments in Howell County have entered into a mutual aid agreement recently, and set boundaries between the two departments to help ease tensions that have existed between the departments for many years.
Willow Springs resident Lou Wehmer is the president of the Willow Springs Rural Fire Board. He talked with Ozark Radio News about the decision that was made:

The rural and Eleven Point Districts are also wanting to enter into an agreement with the Willow Springs City Fire Department. Mayor Jay Waggoner says that he believes that the agreement would be extremely beneficial for the city and rural residents:

The Willow Springs City Council must approve the agreement. City Administrator Bob Pollard says that the decision may come as early as Monday night at the next Willow Springs Council Meeting.
