(Eminence) – To improve the safety, skill and enjoyment of visitors who use canoes and kayaks on the water, Ozark National Scenic Riverways is holding free canoe and kayak clinics. There will be three separate clinics that will be held at Round Spring on July 20, July 27 and August 3 from 2-4 PM.
The topics covered during the clinics will include canoe and kayak equipment; rescue techniques; basic paddle strokes and maneuvers; and river safety. All Clinic instructors are certified by the American Canoe Association.
Each session will be limited to only 12 participants and advance registration is recommended. To register and for additional information, call the round Spring Visitor Center at 573-323-8094 between 8 AM and 4:30 PM daily and ask for Ranger Dave Tobey. Round Spring is located 16 miles north of Eminence, Missouri, on State Route 19.
