(West Plains) – Many people throughout the community know Celeste Williams – she has helped with a number of projects throughout the area, including the Child Advocacy Center, starting the Ozarks Medical Center SAFE program, volunteer work at the West Plains Christian Clinic, or being the camp director at Hammon’s Mill for three years. She was also involved in many church projects, including a mission trip to Guatemala.
Recently, Celeste was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a nervous system disorder. To help offset medical bills associated with treatment of the disease, many in the community are coming together Thursday for a benefit at the West Plains Civic Center.
Cliff Kight, with Cliff’s Karate of West Plains and former contestant on America’s Got Talent, will have a team at the event doing demonstrations. He talks about some of the things the demonstration team will be doing:
Other events scheduled include a bake sale, a 50/50 drawing, an auction of items including art, bikes, and golf rounds, and a quilt raffle. The auction runs from 7-8 PM, with a preview of the items at 6 PM.
