(West Plains) – The schedule for the 2012 Heart of the Ozarks Fair, which will be held July 16-21 at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds north of West Plains, has been released.

Things kick-off Monday, July 16 at 8 AM with the Junior Market Steer, Goat, Lamb and Swine Show.

At 1 PM, the judging of Home Economics, Fine Arts and Photography will take place. Judging of the Fruits and Vegetables will take place at 2 PM. The Dairy Cattle Show will take place at 6 PM, with Flat Track 4-Wheel races taking place at 7:30 PM.

Carnival arm band night will take place from 6-11 PM each night of the fair, with the exception of Saturday, July 21, when the arm band night will last until midnight. Arm bands are $20 the days of the festival, and are $15 in advance.

Tuesday at noon will be the Replacement Nanny Show. Junior Flower Show Judging will take place at 1 PM. An auction cookout will take place at 5 PM, with the Market Steer, Goat, Swine and Lamb auction taking place at 6 PM. The ACA Rodeo will take place at 7 PM.

On Wednesday, gate admission will be $1 from 8 AM to 3 PM. The cost for rides at the carnival from 1-3 PM will $1 per ride. The S&G Rodeo will take place at 8 PM.

On Thursday, the Dairy Goat Show will take place at 8 AM. Judging of the Open Flower Show will take place at 1 PM. The Heart of the Ozark Angus Association’s Special Junior Show will take place at 6 PM. The Bull Buck will take place at 8 PM.

Friday will start at 10 AM with the Junior and Open Show of Hereford and Polled Herefords, Charolais, Simmental, Limousin, Gelbvieh, Crossbreds, Showmanship and Angus cattle. The rabbit and poultry show will be at 6 PM. The River Valley Professional Lawn Mower Races will take place at 8 PM.

Things are a bit slower on Saturday, with the Bucket Calf Show and Dog Show at 10 AM, and the MO-ARK Truck Pull scheduled at 7 PM.
