(Houston) – Officials with the Missouri Stream Teams say that the Big Piney River cleanup at Boiling Springs was a success, with more than 70 volunteers participating.
Volunteers from several Stream Teams removed 55 bags of trash, along with larger items, from the river. Also removed were 55 tires, including 5 truck tires and one skidder tire. Officials say that the skidder tire recovery was a major accomplishment, since three canoes were needed to float the tire to the Mason Bridge Access.
A BBQ lunch was served at Boiling Springs followed by prizes for volunteers.
