(West Plains) – With the continued high temperatures expected this summer, those who are at risk the most during the dog days of summer are the elderly, small children, chronic invalids, those on certain medications or drugs, and persons with weight and alcohol problems.

Howell County Sheriff Mike Shannon reminds people to look after their neighbors during these dog days of summer:
