(Cabool) – Two people are dead after a three-vehicle collision early Sunday afternoon that occurred near Cabool.
A report from the Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at 12:06 PM on Highway 60, a mile east of Cabool, when the eastbound vehicle driven by 89-year-old Rose Gochal of Mountain Grove failed to yield at the highway crossing, and was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by 35-year-old James Sorrell of Urbana, MO. Sorrell’s vehicle then hit another westbound vehicle driven by 49-year-old Kevin Enderle of West Plains.
Rose and 69-year-old Raymond Gochal of Mountain Grove were both killed in the accident, and were taken to Elliott Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool.
James Sorrell suffered moderate injuries, and was taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains by Texas County Ambulance. Two children in Sorrell’s vehicle suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Ozarks Medical Center by ambulance. Another child suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by Air Evac. Another passenger, 25-year-old Karrie Sorrell, of Urbana, MO, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Ozarks Medical Center.
Kevin Enderle suffered moderate injuries, and was also taken to Ozarks Medical Center by ambulance.
