(Theodosia) – After a $2.3 million water project in Ozark County Public Water Supply District #1, the city of Theodosia now has better water pressure and safer drinking water.
The project, which included a new chlorination system, pipeline upgrades and a new well, was paid for through a $545,000 low-interest loan and a $1,299,000 grant from the US Department of Agriculture, and a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant.
The new water storage facility will alleviate health and sanitation standards cause by insufficient water storage, and the new pipelines will help with water pressure issues in the district.
