(Akers) – One person was seriously injured on Sunday night after a one-vehicle accident near Akers Ferry in Shannon County.
A report from the Highway Patrol says the accident happened at 11:40 PM, when the vehicle driven by 62-year-old Shirley Nash of Salem, MO traveled off-road while southbound on Route K at Akers Ferry and struck a park sign.
She was taken to Salem Hospital in Salem, MO, and then flown by Air Evac to St. John’s Hospital in St. Louis.
