(West Plains) – The unemployment rate in Howell County is down from previous months, and below the national average. Northern Howell County Commissioner Bill Lovelace spoke with Ozark Radio News and told us more:

Lovelace also said that a number of projects are being worked on in the county, and a special program helped them finish a number of projects:

Lovelace says you can find out more about the program by going to the South Central Career Center or the Workforce Investment Office in West Plains. Also, the railroad crossing at CR 5120 north of Pomona near Highway 63 will be closed today for maintenance by Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
