(West Plains) – A ribbon cutting and dedication today marks the official opening of the new location for the Samaritan Outreach Center in West Plains and, as director Michelle Jackson tells us, a new name:

The homeless shelter is now located at 715 Missouri Avenue in West Plains and also includes a food pantry which largely depends on help from the public:

Donations of fresh produce is accepted, too so if folks have produce from their gardens it can also be donated. Jackson says the new structure includes room to house 36 residents and is handicap accessible. It is hoped that classes such as parenting and budgeting will be held in the new conference room.
