(West Plains) – The West Plains R-7 Board of Education will meet at 5 PM this evening in the central administration office for their regular June meeting.
After entering a closed executive session to start the meeting, the board will enter into open session and approve the consent agenda, which includes bill payments, a monthly finance report and the minutes from the previous meetings. Also included in the finance report is the 2012-2013 budget and the possible approval of federal grant applications.
In the regular agenda, the school board will discuss previous business, which includes the second reading and possible approval of the employee and student handbook, and a proposal from the salary committee.
In new business, the board will talk about the upcoming back to school celebration, scheduled for Monday, August 13; set lunch prices for the upcoming school year; discuss the upcoming August 20 audit; adopt salary schedules; and discuss a technology grant. The board will also hear a report from Superintendent Dr. Fred Czerwonka before returning to a closed session to wrap up the meeting.
