(West Plains) – A fire in West Plains Thursday evening caused severe damage to a home on Jackson St.
Howell County 911 received the call at 7:23 PM of a fire in a bedroom at a home on the 1300 block of Jackson St. at the intersection of Pony Thomas St. Firefighters arrived on scene three minutes later.
Officials with the West Plains Fire Department told Ozark Radio News that a person inside the home reported that someone was attempting to find an electrical outlet with a lighter and accidentally caught a bed on fire.
Nobody was injured.
