(Mountain View) – After medical school, there was no question for Mercy physician Dr. Jon Roberts—he wanted to return to his roots in southern Missouri to practice medicine. It was 1977 when the Winona native opened his practice in the east wing of Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, and he’s been in the community ever since. Now, Dr. Roberts will be retiring after 35 years of service to the area.
Dr. Roberts made the announcement earlier this month, and will be hanging up his coat in August, retiring from Mercy Clinic Family Practice Mountain View.
To celebrate his 35 years of service to his community, Mercy St. Francis will host a dessert social and special program in his honor, and invites the community to the Mountain View Community Center on Sunday, June 24 at 1:30 PM. The program begins at 2 PM. Donations will be accepted, with proceeds benefiting the Good Samaritan Clinic and the new Dr. Jon Roberts honorary scholarship.
